Jamb Skid
The Condux Jamb Skid is a device for supporting sheaves or quadrant blocks inside a manhole to pull cable into underground conduit.

By positioning the top of the jamb skid against the underside of the manhole opening, and using the camlock foot pedal, setup can be done in a fraction of the time it takes to install a hanging sheave assembly. Pulling tension actually increases the stability of the jamb skid during the pull. No dangerous breakage of chains or straps. The Jamb Skid is especially useful when there are no pulling-in irons available, or when the existing irons do not align correctly with the duct opening. The Jamb Skid can be placed anywhere within a 360° radius inside the manhole.

Constructed of solid aluminum, the Jamb Skid is both strong and lightweight. In most instances it can be installed by one person. The complete unit is created by combining a base unit with one of several extension units, depending upon the height required. Locking 1 1/4" (32 mm) pins, allow the height adjustment of the Jamb Skid. Also, the width adjusts to accept all Condux sheave assemblies up through 8" (203 mm). 10,000 lbs. (44,480 N) cable tension load rated.

NOTE: Order base section and choice of extension separately for a complete Jamb Skid unit. Locking pins are included with the base section.

Fiber Optic Jamb Skid
The Condux Fiber Optic Jamb Skid is a device for supporting fiber optic sheaves or quadrant blocks inside a manhole to pull fiber optic cable into underground conduit.

Constructed of steel tubing, the Fiber Optic Jamb Skid is both strong, 1,000 lbs. (4,480 N) load rated, and lightweight, can be installed by one person.

Stringing Quad Block
Protects OPGW and ADSS cable during installation. Pulling Radius of 30-inch : 13 Nylatron® rollers allow cable to a make a gradual 90° turn for easy pulling in aerial installation. Lightweight corrosion-resistant aluminum side plates. 5,000 lbs cable tension load capacity. 11⁄2 inch maximum cable diameter.

Stringing Quad Block


Pole Mount Frame for (Stringing Quad Block)
Use the pole mount bracket with the Stringing Quad Block. A ratcheting strap design provides easy set-up, while offering a tight fit to pole. Bracket is steel with a vertical shaft to receive Stringing Quad Block. A safety clip is provided to hang unit from strand while installing.
